06º DIA - 18/10/2012 - Partida Roma -> Florença / Passeio por Florença - Museo Galileo, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Republica
Chegou o dia de deixar Roma e seguir para Florença, então não nos apressamos tanto em arrumar tudo e sair. Deixamos o hotel por volta das 10:00h e fomos tomar o último café da manhã no Rik's Café e depois fomos direto para a Estação Termini. Como nosso trem para Florença era às 11:45h ficamos rodando por lá, olhamos algumas lojas e, por fim, quando estava perto da hora da partida, compramos nosso 'almoço' no McDonald's para comermos durante a viagem.
O trem partiu exatamente às 11:45h e a viagem foi tranquila, passando por várias cidades e estações, até chegarmos por volta das 13:10h à Estação Santa Maria Novella, em Florença. Desembarcamos e fomos procurar nosso hotel, o Hotel Sempione. Estávamos perdidos no início, já que não tínhamos um mapa da cidade e não vimos nenhuma banca/tabacaria perto dali para comprar um e não sabíamos em que direção seguir. Rodamos bastante por perto da estação até que encontramos uma banca e lá comprei um ótimo mapa que nos ajudou bastante durante toda a estadia na cidade.
Finalmente, depois de analisarmos bem o mapa, encontramos nosso hotel numa rua estreita mas bem movimentada que fica perto da praça em frente à estação. O hotel é bem simples mas bem estruturado e o quarto onde ficamos era bem confortável. Organizamos nossas coisas e nos arrumamos para dar uma volta pela cidade. Já eram por volta de 15:30h e fomos direto à Piazza della Signoria, que é uma das praças principais da cidade. Tiramos algumas fotos da praça (há uma fonte com uma estátua de Netuno que estava com a iluminação rosa por causa da campanha "Outubro Rosa") e seguimos para o Museo di Storia della Scienza (Museo Galileo), onde tem vários instrumentos utilizados por alguns dos principais cientistas antigos, incluindo Galileu, e mostra como foi feita cada descoberta e a evolução da ciência a partir de cada uma. Depois de olharmos tudo e tirarmos muitas fotos, tentamos ir à Galleria degli Uffizi, que fica bem próximo ao Museo Galileo, mas já havia passado da hora de fechamento da bilheteria e não conseguimos entrar. Sem sabermos para onde ir, fomos para a Ponte Vecchio, que é a ponte mais antiga e mais famosa da cidade, onde se concentra a maior quantidade de joalherias por metro quadrado na cidade, e talvez em toda a Itália. É o paraíso das mulheres viciadas em jóias e o terror dos cartões de crédito. No centro da ponte está uma estátua do artista Benvenuto Cellini e na estrutura há um vão de cada lado onde se tem uma linda vista das margens do Rio Arno que corta a cidade e de onde pode-se contemplar um belíssimo pôr-do-sol (chegamos bem na hora). Após algumas fotos, seguimos até o outro lado onde o único local que nos atraiu foi a muralha do Palazzo Pitti, que já estava fechado para visitação e só pudemos tirar algumas fotos da fachada.
Retornamos por volta das 19:00h e, enquanto caminhávamos, vimos algumas pessoas carregando sacolas de compra com desenhos de personagens da Disney. Pensamos logo: Tem Loja da Disney aqui! Mas... onde?! Continuamos andando e tentando encontrar a loja, mas não encontramos. Seguimos pela Via Roma, passando pela Piazza della Repubblica e depois pela Piazza del Duomo, onde tem a Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore e o Battistero, que visitaríamos num outro dia.
Já eram por volta das 19:30h e fomos em direção ao hotel, mas antes passamos rapidamente em um mercado que tem perto dali para comprar algo para jantarmos. Chegamos ao hotel por volta das 20:00h, arrumamos nossas coisas, nos arrumamos, jantamos e ficamos novamente planejando o dia seguinte... na casa da Ferrari. (segue no 07º DIA)

1) Chegando em Florença, mesmo que não utilize transporte público (não há metrô) e pareça muito caro, vale a pena comprar o Firenze Card. Você não perde tempo em filas e ganha descontos em todos os principais museus e atrações.
2) Depois de comprar seu Firenze Card (e ter um mapa da cidade), organize-se bem e faça um roteiro dos lugares que gostaria de visitar, pois a cidade inteira é um gigantesco museu a céu aberto com vários museus dentro de suas edificações.
3) Se um dia pensou em prender um cadeado nas grades de alguma ponte, da Ponte Vecchio ou outro lugar, esqueça! Além de evitar de receber uma pesada multa de 50€, você ainda ajuda a preservar os patrimônios.
4) Carregue sempre uma garrafa de água e use um calçado bem confortável para poder andar bastante e não deixe de saborear quantos Gelatos puder, pois não há sorvete melhor no mundo.

6th DAY - 18/10/2012 - Departure Rome -> Firenze / Tour in Firenze - Museo Galileo, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Republica
The day to leave Rome and move to Firenze had came, so we didn't hurry so much organizing everything and leaving. We left the hotel around 10:00am and went to Rik's Café to have the last breakfast and then we went to Termini Station. How the departure to Firenze was scheduled at 11:45am, we got walking by the station, looking some stores, and finally, when it was almost the departure time, we bought our 'lunch' at McDonald's to eat during our journey.
The train departed at exactly 11:45am and the journey was good, passing through several towns and stations, until we arrive at the station Santa Maria Novella, in Firenze, at around 13:10pm. We got off the train and went looking for our hotel, Hotel Sempione. We were lost at the beginning, since we didn't have a map of the city and haven't seen any newsstand or tabaccheria nearby to buy a map and we didn't know in which direction to go. We walked around the station until we find a newsstand there and bought a good map which helped us very much during the entire staying in the city.
Finally, after we analyze the map, we found our hotel on a narrow street but very crowded which is near the square that is in front of station. The hotel is pretty simple but nicely structured and the room where we stayed was very comfortable. We organized our things and got ready for a walk around town. It was already around 03:30pm and we went straight to the Piazza della Signoria, which is one of the main squares of the city. We took some pictures of the square (there is a fountain with a statue of Neptune that had pink illumination because of the campaign "Breast Cancer Awareness Month") and then we went to the Museo di Storia della Scienza (Museo Galileo), which has several instruments used by some of the main ancient scientists, including Galileo, and shows how each discovery was made and the evolution of science from each discovery. It's a fantastic museum and I recommend to visit. After we look at everything and take lots of pictures, we tried to go to the Galleria degli Uffizi, which is right next to the Museo Galileo, but the time of closing of the ticket office was passed and we couldn't enter there. How we didn't know where to go, we finally went to the Ponte Vecchio, which is the oldest and most famous bridge of the city, which has the largest amount of jewelry stores by square meter in the city, and maybe the whole of Italy. It's the paradise of women addicted to jewelry and the horror to credit cards. At the center of the bridge there is a statue of the artist Benvenuto Cellini and there are big walls on each side where you have a beautiful view of the Arno River which crosses the city and where you can admire a wonderful sunset (we was there just in time). After some photos, we continued walking up the other side where the only place that we were insterested to see was the Palazzo Pitti, but it was already closed for visitation and we could only take some photos of the facade.
We returned at around 07:00pm and, while we were walking, we saw some people bringing shopping bags with some Disney characters drawn on them. We just thought: There's Disney Store here! But ... where?! We kept walking and trying to find the store but didn't find it. We went by Via Roma, passing through Piazza della Repubblica and then by the Piazza del Duomo, where there is the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore and the Baptistery, which we would visit another day.
