08º DIA - 20/10/2012 - Passeio por Florença - Galleria degli Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti, Giardino di Boboli, Giardino Bardini e Disney Store
Como no dia anterior, levantamos por volta das 08:30h, nos arrumamos, organizamos tudo o que precisávamos na mochila, fomos tomar o café da manhã no próprio hotel e saímos. O dia amanheceu nublado, mas as nuvens foram se dissipando ao longo da manhã até que o sol brilhou o restante do dia.
Nesse dia fomos visitar a Galleria degli Uffizi. Chegamos lá por volta das 09:30h e, infelizmente, como não compramos o Firenze Card nem os ingressos antecipadamente, tivemos que aguardar pacientemente na fila que já estava consideravelmente grande para o horário e observar o letreiro que indicava o próximo horário em que a fila seria liberada para a entrada de um grupo de, no máximo, 40 pessoas, se não me engano. O tempo pode variar de 15 a 45 minutos e entra um grupo tanto da fila das pessoas com ingressos comprados antecipadamente ou Firenze Card quanto da fila dos 'sem ingresso'. Esse sistema de entrada faz com que as filas aumentem consideravelmente com o passar do tempo e assim a espera de quem chega mais tarde seja maior.
Conseguimos entrar no museu depois de aproximadamente 1h de espera. Mas valeu a pena o 'sacrifício'. A Galleria degli Uffizi é um palácio gigantesco que abriga o fantástico museu de mesmo nome, sendo um dos mais famosos e antigos do mundo, com várias salas e que possui em seu acervo muitas obras importantes de vários dos maiores artistas Renascentistas. Devido a tal importância das obras, não é permitido tirar fotos no interior do museu, apenas da vista das janelas ou do terraço onde fica a cafeteria. Percorremos praticamente todo o museu (havia algumas salas fechadas para reforma), observando cada obra e identificando as semelhanças e diferenças nos traços de cada artista. Uma das obras que mais nos impressionou, e que é uma das mais vistas e mais importantes do museu, foi "O Nascimento de Vênus", de Sandro Botticelli. Havia um grupo de visitantes que se aglomerou à frente dela e ficamos aguardando eles se dispersarem para podermos vê-la bem de perto. Só há uma palavra para descrever: MAGNÍFICA! Atravessamos mais uma vez a belíssima Ponte Vecchio e chegamos ao Palazzo Pitti. Esse grandioso Palácio já impressiona pela enorme fachada e atualmente abriga o maior complexo museológico de Florença formado por 7 museus e os jardins, sendo eles: Galleria Palatina (Galeria Palatina), Galleria d'Arte Moderna (Galleria de Arte Moderna), Museo degli Argenti (Museu da Prataria), Galleria del Costume (Museu do Vestuário), Museo delle Porcellane (Museu da Porcelana), Museo delle Carrozze (Museu das Carruagens), Appartamenti Reali (Apartamentos Reais), Giardino di Boboli (Jardins do Boboli) e Giardino Bardini (Jardins Bardini). Como já estávamos um pouco cansados de ver tantas pinturas, esculturas e afins de museus, escolhemos visitar o Jardim do Boboli (Giardino di Boboli), que é um verdadeiro museu a céu aberto, com uma maravilhosa vista de Florença, várias fontes monumentais e cheio de estátuas romanas, renascentistas e modernas. O ingresso é válido também para o Museu da Prataria, o Museu do Vestuário, o Museu da Porcelana e os Jardins Bardini. Desses, só conseguimos visitar o Bardini que, diferente do Boboli, é um complexo de jardins, flores e plantas simplesmente maravilhosas. Até chegamos ao Museu da Porcelana, mas ele já estava fechado. Conseguimos visitar somente metade do jardim, pois ele é muito grande e o tempo era curto, tanto que quando ainda estávamos na metade do caminho em direção à entrada pela "Porta Romana", foi avisado pelos auto-falantes que o horário de visitação estava esgotado e que já estavam se preparando para fechar às 18:30h. Ficou um gostinho de 'quero mais'. Voltamos então para a entrada pelo Palazzo Pitti. Saímos dali e resolvemos procurar pela loja da Disney, que fica na Via dei Calzaiuoli, perto da Piazza della Signoria. A loja não é muito grande, mas para quem gosta da Disney como nós, entrar nela foi como voltar a ser criança. Há muitos itens para crianças e adultos e os preços são bem variados. Olhamos praticamente tudo, mas como estávamos ainda no começo da viagem, compramos somente algumas lembrancinhas para os sobrinhos para não pesar na mala. Mas valeu a visita.
Saímos dali quando a loja estava fechando, por volta das 20:00h e voltamos direto para o hotel. Como já havíamos comprado algumas coisas no caminho, assim que chegamos ao hotel arrumamos nossas coisas, nos arrumamos e jantamos. Depois ficamos vendo as compras e fotos do dia, conversando e novamente planejando o dia seguinte... (segue no 09º DIA)

1) Dica mais importante de todas, como nos posts anteriores: Firenze Card! Vale o investimento pois, além do transporte 24h por dia, ele é válido para entrada em praticamente todos os museus sem precisar enfrentar as filas gigantescas e seu dia rende muito mais.
2) Se preferir, ao invés do Firenze Card, há a opção de compra antecipada dos ingressos dos museus, jardins e afins, e evitando também as filas gigantescas, mas dependendo da quantidade de lugares a visitar sai mais caro do que comprar o Firenze Card.
3) Como na dica do 06º DIA, a cidade é toda visitável então é bom fazer com antecedência um roteiro bem detalhado do que irá visitar para não perder muito tempo se deslocando de um lugar para o outro e depois ter a sensação de que não fez quase nada.
4) Se for visitar o complexo do Palazzo Pitti, reserve um dia inteiro, bastante fôlego, paciência e espaço na câmera para tirar muitas fotos, pois o lugar é realmente gigantesco e você só tem ideia disso quando chega lá.
5) Gelatos e mais gelatos! Há muitas gelaterias na cidade, cada uma com uma vitrine mais atraente que a outra e com sorvetes deliciosos.

Just like the previous day, we woke up at around 08:30am, got ready to go out, organized everything that we needed in the backpack and went to coffee room at the hotel to have breakfast and then went out to city tour. The day dawned cloudy, but the clouds were dissipating throughout the morning and the sun shone the rest of the day.
In this day we visited the Galleria degli Uffizi. We got there at around 09:30am and, unfortunately, how we didn't buy the Firenze Card or tickets in advance, we had to wait patiently in the queue that was already large at that moment and observe the marquee which indicated the next time that the entrance would be opened to a group of up to 40 people, if I'm not mistaken. The waiting time can range from 15 to 45 minutes and a group get inside, first from the queue of people with tickets or Firenze Card, and then from the queue of people 'without tickets'. This entry system makes queues increase considerably along the time and the waiting time is higher for those who arrive later.
We finally entered the museum after waiting for about 1h. But it was worth the 'sacrifice'. The Galleria degli Uffizi is an enormous palace that houses one of the oldest, fantastic and most famous art museums of the western world. It has several rooms with many important works from many of greatest Renaissancist artists in its collection. Due to the importance of those works, it's not allowed to take pictures inside the museum, but only of the view from the windows or from the terrace where there is a coffee shop.
We went through almost the entire museum (there were some rooms closed for renovations), observing each work and identifying the similarities and differences between the traces of each artist. One of the works that most impressed us, and that is one of the most viewed and most important of the museum, was "The Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli. There was a group of visitors who was in front of the work, so we were waiting them to leave and then we could see it up close. There is only one word to describe: MAGNIFICENT! After we walk the (almost) entire museum, we went to the terrace of the building where there is a coffee shop to have a 'lunch' and decide where we would go to, because it was already around 02:20pm and we were still in doubt of what we could do. So we decided to go to the Palazzo Pitti and then choose what we would visit there.
We crossed once more the wonderful Ponte Vecchio and arrived at Palazzo Pitti. This great palace already impressed us by the enormous facade and currently houses the largest museum complex in Firenze consisting of 7 museums and gardens, which are: Galleria Palatina (The Palatine Gallery), Galleria d'Arte Moderna (Galleria of Modern Art), Museo degli Argenti (Silver Museum), Galleria del Costume (Costume Gallery), Museo delle Porcellane (Porcelain Museum), Museo delle Carrozze (Carriages Museum), Appartamenti Reali (Royal Apartments), Giardino di Boboli (Boboli Gardens) and Giardino Bardini (Bardini Gardens). How we were already a little tired of seeing so many paintings, sculptures and similars from museums, we chose to visit the Boboli Gardens (Giardino di Boboli), which is a real outdoor museum, with a wonderful view of Firenze, many monumental fountains and full of modern, roman and renaissance statues. The ticket is also valid for Silver Museum, the Costume Gallery, the Porcelain Museum and Bardini Gardens, but we visited only the Boboli and Bardini Gardens. Bardini is a complex of gardens, flowers and plants simply wonderful, differently of Boboli which is like a park. We even got to the Porcelain Museum, but it was already closed. Because of the short time and the garden is too large, we could only visit a half of it, so that even when we were at about halfway towards the entry "Porta Romana", they warned by loudspeakers that the visitation time was ending and they were already preparing to close at 06:30pm. It gave us a taste of 'we want more'. We return then to the entrance of Palazzo Pitti. The store is not very big, but get in it, for those people who love Disney like us, was like get back to childhood. There are many items for children and adults and the prices are quite varied. We looked at everything, but as we were at the beginning of the travel yet, we bought only some little souvenirs for our nieces and nephews to don't weigh so much in the suitcase. But it was worth the visit.
We got out of the store when it was closing at about 08:00pm and went back to the hotel. How we had already bought some things along the way, as soon as we got to the hotel, we organized our things and got ready for dinner. So then we were seeing the pictures of this day and the itens we bought, and talking and planning again the next day... (continues on 9th DAY)

Tips:
1) The most important tip, like in previous posts: Firenze Card! It worth the investment because, in addition to public transportation 24 hours a day, it is valid for entry to almost all museums without having to face huge queues and you don't waste precious time of your day.
2) If you prefer, instead of Firenze Card, there is the option to purchase tickets of the museums, gardens and the similars in advance, and also avoiding huge queues, but depending on the amount of places you want to visit, it's more expensive than purchasing the Firenze Card.
3) Like the tip of the 6th DAY, the city is the whole visitable so it's good to do in advance a well-detailed roadmap of all that you will visit to don't waste too much time move from a place to another and feel like you didn't do almost nothing.
4) If you visit the complex of Palazzo Pitti, book a full day, quite breath, patience and space in your camera to take many pictures, because the place is really enormous and you just have idea of this when you get there.
5) Gelatos and more gelatos! There are many gelaterias in the city, each one with a showcase more attractive than the other and all of them with delicious ice creams.
6) If you love Disney and like to have products with its official mark, it's worth buying in official Disney Store (as previous description of Firenze's store above), because the products seem a bit expensive, but they are cheaper and with better quality than 'licensed products' (which have only the brand label) from other stores.

2) If you prefer, instead of Firenze Card, there is the option to purchase tickets of the museums, gardens and the similars in advance, and also avoiding huge queues, but depending on the amount of places you want to visit, it's more expensive than purchasing the Firenze Card.
3) Like the tip of the 6th DAY, the city is the whole visitable so it's good to do in advance a well-detailed roadmap of all that you will visit to don't waste too much time move from a place to another and feel like you didn't do almost nothing.
4) If you visit the complex of Palazzo Pitti, book a full day, quite breath, patience and space in your camera to take many pictures, because the place is really enormous and you just have idea of this when you get there.
5) Gelatos and more gelatos! There are many gelaterias in the city, each one with a showcase more attractive than the other and all of them with delicious ice creams.
6) If you love Disney and like to have products with its official mark, it's worth buying in official Disney Store (as previous description of Firenze's store above), because the products seem a bit expensive, but they are cheaper and with better quality than 'licensed products' (which have only the brand label) from other stores.
